Ink Prices

I was going to dinner at a friend's and rather than bring a bottle of wine, I thought I should bring a bottle of ink. The price per ounce of writing ink is way more than the price of wine. My favourite wine right now is $30 a bottle, that is about $1.18 an ounce. The prices of ink at the cheapest start at $4.11 ounce to a high of $18.93 per ounce.

Overall in Canada the prices for the ink itself are higher, also showing up in the average coset per ounce. I could not sort the data from lowest to highest as there were a number of lines that I could not find at a Canadian store to obtain the price.

The data is a scan of the prices for ink from major on-line retailers conducted in June 2014. On-line proces vary, and where there was a price difference of at least $1 or more per bottle up to three prices were shown, and the average price used. The majority of ink are from Europe and sized in ml. Bottle size converted to oz based on imperial US ounces. The data is to illustrate price range.
