The Italian pen company, Aurora, founded in 1919, is well known for its line of quality pens. It is also known for a high quality fountain pen ink. For what sees to be as long as I can remember, the company produced it's ink in two basic colours: black and blue. Then, they added a third colour: blue-black. These three colours make up what has been the company's regular line of fountain pen ink.
In 2019, to celebrate Aurora's 100th anniversary, the company produced a special line of inks. The special line has a range of colours that came in a 60 ml bottle. Colours included: red, turquoise, blue, sepia, green, white, purple, gray and black.

After many years of only have Aurora Blue or Black, when Blue-Black came out... well I remember growing up when we went from one TV channel to two! Same feeling.
I guess it is a medium blue-black, as I have seen some colours which are much more saturated with black.
.

I think I would say the colour is basic blue, although with my Stub 1.1 nibs that I use the most, there is a nice defined colour when the ink is on the page. So not a boaring blue.
Good flow, reasonable try time, overall an ink with no issues.

Aurora Black has a very good reputation for being a rich dark tone, with flow qualities. It was the first of the Aurora ink colours that I tried. It is dye-based so there are no concerns with ink pigments.
The only bottle available at the time was the tall narrow bottle which I enjoyed very much. A narrow tall bottle make fill any pen with a large nib an easy process.
I have found the writing performance of the ink excellent. Generally, I have never had an issue with feathering, except for the odd case using cheap office-copy paper.
I also like the flat texture of the ink. Nothing sticky on the page that you can feel, or even cause pages to stick together.
