an under- promised product and an over-delivered experience
Robert Oster Signature® colour collection, available in both fountain pen ink and inkArt.ink™ products, embodies the ethics, the imagination and the very heart and soul of the maker - Robert Oster.

Robert Oster inks are made in Australia, inspired by Australian colours and is known for being eco-friendly, non-toxic and a ink with vibrant colours. It is said the colours are inspired by Australian landscapes. The inks fall into sheen and non-sheen types with various degrees of colour saturation.
The ink comes in a narrow, tall 50 ml plastic bottle. PET plastic, rather than glass, was selected becaue it is made from recycled chemical waste that has a better value to the planet being in his bottles. The label on the cap shows the colour - each created by Robert, of the ink. So don't open multiple bottles, take their caps off unless you are careful to get the correct cap on the correcte botttle!

This is my first Robert Oster ink that I have used, and I must say, I am enjoying the ink very much. It is a wet, good flowing ink. The colour is strong. It is not the colour I thought it would be based on the ink swab I say, but I like teal as a colour. I will have to pick up some other bottles that are more blue. But I like Aqua.
The ink comes in a narrow, tall plastic bottle that holds 50ml. So while I am pleased with the design of the bottle, and the size (I always think of 50 ml being a regular bottle size, I wish the ink container was glass. The bottle is light and as I have been filling my pen I have had a concern that I could easily tip it over. Not sure if glass would make any difference, but that is the thought I can't shake.

The ink has wonderful flow, writing seemed so easy. I found my strokes were crisp. I have used it on Rhodia, Fabriano and regular bond paper and found basically no feathering, a reasonable dry time and no bleed through.
Looking for a good blue? Give this colour a try.

I was given a small sample vial of this ink. It stayed unused for a while, but since I have "discovered Robert Oster ink" with enjoyed use I thought it was time to try this colour. Hmmmm, the result of some limited writing shows the ink to look nothing like what I thought it would. I check various ink samples on websites and this is way darker than what a good number of the sites show. But the response is been reserved. Noone seemed to be raving about this ink. It seems a bit drier in use, although still good flow.
With a medium nib there is a mauve colour coming through. Using a large stub nib, the blue tone of the ink is the dominant colour.
