Lamy

I was looking forward to using the crystal ink line from Lamy. Some of the colours looked very interesting. Unfortunately, here is another case of where a poorly designed ink bottle impacts the ability to use the product. There is only 30 ml of ink in the bottle and other than the first one or two fills, it is too difficult to fill with a large nib. When the line came out there were ten colours. Price wise, too costly of an ink for one you can not get much of the ink out of the bottle.

The classic bottle also shares the problem of having less depth than width, so filling is also a challenge as the level of inki drops, but at least is has a strip of blotting paper as a bonus. I liked the Blue, although I found it had no unique colour aspect that made it stand out. Good ink of high quality paper. A tendancy to bleed on normal office paper.
