This store has been around since 1878, so it has a real history. A store that has received a high recommendation from a viewer of the site. In 2014 I received an update that they have updated the interior of the store, it now has a Montblanc Shop-in-Shop/ Michel and his wife Nathalie are the 5th generation running the family business. Penworld is a specialized division of Rombouts-Neyromck. I missed seeing this store when I was in Antwerp last year. I will hope to visit if I get the chance to return to Antwerp. Luckily they have a great website website if you can't get to Antwerp.

The store is not located in the historic centre of Brussels. It is in Etterbeek which is in the area with the Euro govenment offices are located. A sensible location for a pen store. I took the metro to the Schuman stop, and it was about a ten minute walk over to rue Belliard.
The store has been operated by three generations of the same family. I met with Rupinder Kahr who told me about the store and we discussed some of the popular lines of pens. Bernard Barette is the owner, who was not there when I was at the store. They carry the major lines of pens such as Caran d'Ache, Faber Castell,, Graf von Faber and Montblancall being among the most popular lines. In terms of nib sizes for fountain pens, the store primarily carries Fine and Medium widths, the widths most aligned with business customers.
The store has a business focus, and especially in this area, it is only open Monday to Fridays, closed on Saturday and Sundays.

A reader of the pen site wrote sayu the Sakura Fountain Pen Gallery should be listed on this site. He particuarly notes the high level of service the store provides. I had a look at theri web site and they sell a great selection of inks and fountain pens. I see they are selling the Armando Simoni Club fountain pens. A friend of mine, Salvatore Matrone, has been producing some of those pens.

The store carries much more than pens (luggage, china etc.) but it does have a good selection of pens with the major lines all represented.
The store is open Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 6:30 pm and on Satudays 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The store comes highly recommended. I look forward to an opportunity to visit it when I have the chance to visit Vienna.
Well in May 2017 I did have the chance to visit the store. The store on Graben is primarily pens. They carry a large selection but the layout of the store is one where you walk in, everything is in a wall showcase or behind the counter. Not alot of wallking around and browsing. I did introduce myself, and had a short chat. the store is owned by the Weidler Family and is not being run by fourth generation family members.
The company dates back to 1882, although the store was destroyed in 1944 during the war. Gerald Weidler was responsible for the rebuilding of the company.
It is a beautiful store, with high-end pens. Can't tell you much more as the converstation was a bit limited.

Well in May 2017 I did have the chance to visitThe company was founded in 1845, startingmore as a publisher and chaning to be one of Belgium's pen-specialists stores. The shop is situated in the historic heart of Gent is a building called "The Half Moon" dating from 1794. The interior is described as a typical Interbellum interior and was restored in 1996. Here you can find an appropriate first pen or move right up to a limited edition. Our pen-room gives the client a space to choose and test in comfort.
