Bologna is one of those hidden treasures of Italy. The city has some of the best food I have ever eaten. The architecture is outstanding. I took a tour of the OMAS factory in 2007. Sadly OMAS closed, but from that company, dedicated leaders opened a new pen company, Scrittura Bolognese - known as SCRIBO. In 2019 it was a return visit to Bologna to meet with SCRIBO and see the city again.

I first visited the A.C. Vecchietti store when I was in Bologna in 2007 and had the plesasure of returning in 2019. The store is located on via degli Orefici, 2 - and sons Davide and Luce are running the business.

While there, they pointed out the window case that holds some of the original Nettuno celluloid pens that date back to 1911. They were beautiful.

The store has a solid selection of pens, in just about any price range. The store is located just off the Piazza Maggiore.
